Environmental Health Officer (Technical) – Local Government

Looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer who is eager to gain a foothold in their local council. This position will deliver regulatory environmental health services including licensing, inspections, and complaint investigation.

• Up to $48.03 p/h + 11% Super
• Monday to Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm)
• Logan Central Location – Work Close to Home!

A Day in the Life:

• Manage licensing, inspections, and investigations, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
• Investigate and address complaints, requests, and incidents promptly.
• Develop accurate reports and correspondence within set timeframes.
• Contribute to improvement projects impacting team services.
• Collaborate with team leaders and coordinators to set performance standards.
• Provide and receive regular feedback for continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Valid C class drivers’ licence
• A relevant degree qualification in the field of Environmental Health that is recognised for eligibility for Membership of Environmental Health Australia
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• This position has been identified as having a ‘Significant Risk’ of exposure to a disease preventable by vaccination. Therefore, it is required for you to have, or be willing to get vaccinations.
