The Opportunity

Now that the new plant is ready to go our client requires a Maintenance Fitter to join the team. Mainly working day shift with the need to be flexible as required there is plenty to do in this state of the art new facility in Hope Valley WA.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Translate maintenance protocols and priorities into understandable, actionable and quantitative plans.
  • Promptly, accurately and completely respond to correspondence and deliver periodic reporting
  • Undertake and complete maintenance activities and works effectively including scheduled/preventative maintenance, attending to breakdown responses to optimise operational outcomes whilst mitigating risks, in accordance with company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with Production functions to schedule maintenance work to enable optimal customer outcomes.
  • Undertake plant and workshop inspections aligning with approved safety, hazards and hygiene practices, in accordance with Mauri and GWF standards.
  • Maintain accurate parts inventory records, to minimise operational downtime.
  • Identify issues and problems promptly and escalate with manager to source effective solutions.
  • Understand and optimise interfaces between different work areas.
  • Accurately interpret and follow operational procedures and specific instructions.
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation promptly, accurately and completely.
  • Commit to continually seek improvements across maintenance activities; and Undertake other tasks as requested.

    To be considered for this role you will need to be:
  • Trade qualified
  • Able to work flexible hours when required
  • Available to be on a Call Out roster
  • Experience working in GMP/FMCG environment
  • Safety focused
  • Holding a Valid Driver’s licence
  • Holding a Restricted Electrical licence (desired)
  • Holding tickets for working at heights/ in confined space (desired)
  • Strong in your communication skills
  • A team player
