Our Client

Our client has two businesses aligned with each other, one is in Steel distribution the other is supplying Steel products for Retaining Walls and Landscaping.

Steel Distribution - A wide range of products including, but not limited to, Merchant Bar, Sheet, Channels, Pipe.

Retaining Walls & Landscaping - supply retaining wall steel, sleepers, concrete, timber & galvanised steel posts. They have a range of garden products covering anything from fire pits, metal screens, garden edging, to pool fencing and mild steel & star pickets.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join this booming family owned business where every day is different. You will need to have a manual driver’s licence, current forklift licence with operating experience loading & unloading trucks of lengths of steel.

A degree of mechanical aptitude and experience using drop saws and/or CNC machines to cut steel is preferred.

Other duties include:

• Loading and unloading of materials from trucks
• Picking/packing of orders
• Cutting of materials
• Occasional local deliveries in a ute.
• Stock replenishment
• General manual handling tasks as required.
• General cleaning of the warehouse

Experience in the steel or timber industry is a distinct advantage.

• Ability to work autonomously

The successful candidate may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol screening and agree to a National Criminal History Check.
