Our client is currently looking for a skilled mechanical fitter to join their growing team. The Mechanical Fitter supports the Mechanical Team in technical and operational tasks, playing a key role in maintenance and construction work. They ensure effective maintenance practices and promptly address repairs for water services assets.

The Role:

• Perform repair and maintenance on Water Services assets under the Mechanical Team Leader's supervision.
• Lead and direct staff and contractors to ensure productivity and necessary skills in the water industry.
• Order resources and equipment per construction plans; verify and authorize supplier invoices.
• Deliver high-quality client service and share information with engineers and council staff as needed.
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and necessary mechanical work.
• Assist in reviewing and developing procedures for improved performance and safety.
• Utilize technology for communication, data collection, and work orders.
• Servicing & repairing a range of pump types, control valves, pneumatic systems, dosing systems and general water industry plant and equipment.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Essential:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Medium Rigid (MR) driver licence (QLD)
• White Card (Construction).

Highly Regarded:

• Working in Confined Spaces competency.
• Doggers License
• Vehicle Loading Crane Licence.
• Working at Heights competency.
