With a cumulative experience of over 40 years, they are a POWERHOUSE in designing and manufacturing energy-efficient products. Specialising in HVAC systems, Hot Water Heat Pumps, and cutting-edge home appliances.

Their warehouse facilities are critical to the ongoing success of the business. For this reason they are seeking a highly motivated and results driven Operations Manager for this newly created role as they continue their growth trajectory. You will be responsible for the entire Warehouse Operations that includes:

Warehouse Management

  • Stock Control: Ensure accurate stock records and accountability through regular stock takes
  • Inventory Management: Optimise inventory levels by forecasting stock requirements based on sales data and market trends
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient stock ordering protocols

WH&S Management

  • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all Workplace Health and Safety standards and regulations
  • Incident Management: Implement effective procedures for reporting and managing workplace incidents
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of safety and identify opportunities for improvement in WH&S practices

Purchasing

  • Stock Availability: Maintain adequate levels of off-shelf stock, containers, and spare parts to support operations and partner needs
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks associated with stock shortages or delays
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing

3PL & Expansion

  • 3PL Management: Oversee the management of third-party logistics (3PL) providers, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations
  • Expansion Planning: Contribute to the planning and implementation of future expansions into Queensland and South Australia

Warranty & Returns Management

  • Process Efficiency: Streamline the warranty process to ensure timely and accurate claims processing
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve warranty procedures and customer satisfaction
  • Best Practices: Identify and implement best practices in warranty and returns management to maintain a competitive advantage

Service Management

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Victoria Warehouse Attendant, NSW Warehouse Attendant, and Service Technician based in Melbourne
  • Performance Management: Set clear objectives, provide performance feedback, and support team development

Technology Utilization:

  • Rollout and Support: Oversee the implementation and ongoing support of the new ERP system
  • Innovation: Identify opportunities to leverage the ERP system to drive process improvements and enhance efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field would be great but not essential
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy efficiency or manufacturing industry
  • Strong end to end knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles
  • Proven experience in managing teams and driving performance
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management tools)
  • Desirable Qualification - Forklift/High Reach Licence - so you can assist in the day to day operations as necessary
