Machine Operator

• Our client is one of Australia's leading packaging companies, are seeking an experienced Machine Operator. This role involves operating and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products, with a structured training program followed by a 4-day-on, 4-day-off rotating shift pattern. Key responsibilities include ensuring safe and efficient operations, performing quality checks, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining accurate production documentation. Additional duties include packaging finished goods, handling raw materials, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

  Role Details:

  • Training: Up to 3 weeks, Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2 pm.
  • Shift: 4 days on, 4 days off, 5:45 am to 5:45 pm after training.
  • Pay: $31.23/hour + superannuation.

  Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of extrusion equipment, including safe startup and shutdown processes.
  • Monitor production for quality assurance and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
  • Perform in-line quality control and adjust processes to meet specifications.
  • Operate and maintain winders to convert large rolls into smaller, finished products.
  • Change resins during transitions to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Complete production logs and reports using both manual and digital systems.
  • Print and apply labels to finished goods and ensure proper packaging.
  • Receive and manage raw materials per SOPs.
  • Collaborate with the team in meetings and improvement initiatives.

  About You:

  • Must have full working rights in Australia.
  • Prior experience as a machine operator.
  • Comfortable with a rotating shift pattern (including day and night shifts).
  • Physically fit
