• $38.00 - $40.00 per Hour + Super
• Location: Hadfield
• Working Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Casual Ongoing
• Work with the Local Council

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Gardener to join the City Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the local parks, reserves, and council facilities in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, contributing to the sustainability of public spaces.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing horticultural tasks such as weeding, planting, mulching, and garden bed maintenance.
• Operating a variety of machinery, including ride-on mowers and small plant equipment, to maintain public spaces.
• Ensuring work areas are clean and free from litter and debris.
• Assisting with landscape improvement projects and following environmental sustainability practices.
• Reporting equipment issues and safety concerns to supervisors.
• Providing on-the-job training for apprentices and trainees as needed.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

• Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent).
• Experience in open space maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
• Level 2 First Aid
• A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
• Heavy Vehicle Licence
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• A passion for maintaining and improving public green spaces.
