Job Opportunity: Certified Gardener
- $38.00 - $40.00 per Hour + Super

- Working Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Gardener to join the City Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the local parks, reserves, and council facilities in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, contributing to the sustainability of public spaces.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing horticultural tasks such as weeding, planting, mulching, and garden bed maintenance.
- Operating a variety of machinery, including ride-on mowers and small plant equipment, to maintain public spaces.
- Ensuring work areas are clean and free from litter and debris.
- Assisting with landscape improvement projects and following environmental sustainability practices.
- Reporting equipment issues and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Providing on-the-job training for apprentices and trainees as needed.
To Be Successful, You Will Have:
- Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent).
- Experience in open space maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
- Level 2 First Aid
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Heavy Vehicle Licence
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- A passion for maintaining and improving public green spaces.
