The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Qualified Mechanic to join a dedicated maintenance team responsible for the servicing and upkeep of a broad range of machinery, vehicles, and mobile plant assets.

This is a full-time, 6-month assignment with the opportunity to make a real impact by ensuring the safety and functionality of essential assets used in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair machinery, engines, transmissions, and systems
  • Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance on various vehicles and equipment
  • Assemble mechanical components and carry out fluid replenishment
  • Perform risk assessments and log all work and repairs
  • Provide maintenance advice and support to vehicle and equipment users
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out with a strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Undertake general mechanical tasks including hydraulic repairs and painting as required
  • Maintain detailed service records and deliver high-quality, timely outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Recognised tertiary qualification as an Automotive Technician / Mechanic
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing plant, machinery, and vehicles
  • Strong time management and the ability to work independently
  • Understanding of and commitment to OHS practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive attitude
  • Respectful of cultural and religious diversity in a cemetery environment
  • Current Australian working rights and residency
