Waste Management Labourer – Local Government

This is your chance to join Moreton Bay Council as a Waste Management Field Operator and be part of a team that keeps our communities clean, safe, and running smoothly.

In this hands-on role, you'll support daily operations at one of Council’s Waste Transfer Stations — helping manage materials, operate plant, and maintain the site.

• $33.62 per hour + Super
• Monday to Friday | 6am – 3pm
• 9-day fortnight – long weekends every second week!
• Work close to home - various locations across Moreton

A Day in the Life

You’ll play a key role in the smooth operation of the waste, with responsibilities such as:

• Performing duties related to waste handling, compacting and facility upkeep
• Using and maintaining plant and equipment
• Assisting with safe loading, sorting, and movement of materials

The Ideal Candidate

Required:

• MR Truck Licence
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour

Desirable:

• Got tickets for gear like loaders, excavators, or dozers? That’s a big plus
• Any previous experience in waste, plant ops, or council work
