Primary objectives of the position are to:

  • Administer, enforce and respond to matters relating to ‘Pool Safety’ and requirements associated with the Pool Register.
  • Assist in ensuring that services provided by Council’s Development and Compliance Services Department meet the requirements of the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2018, and other relevant or related legislation.
  • Assist in the facilitation of Council’s fire safety, essential safety measures and carry out pool/spa barrier auditing and compliance program.
  • Assist with the enforcement of safety and building standards including the investigation of complaints, inspection of illegal, non-complying or unsafe building works and the undertaking of enforcement action.
  • Assist in the assessment of Council’s report and consent and prepare reports and recommendations for the consideration of the Municipal Building.

Key Selection Criteria

-Must have full Aus working rights

-Must have or willing to obtain a national police check & Working with children’s

-A relevant tertiary qualification

-Have a Building Practitioner’s registration with the category of Pool Inspector.
