Local Laws Officer - Animal Management

• Monday - Friday Casual Role - up to $60.17ph
• Located in Narre Warren, VIC - Local council
• Feb - June casual assignment

Role Responsibilities:

To serve the community and maintain/improve the amenity of the municipality for residents, traders and visitors to Casey by -

• Enforcing various Acts, Regulations, Local Laws and policies appropriate to Council’s regulatory functions;
• Promoting, educating and advising the community on matters relating to animal management, local laws and relevant Council policies;
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative and customer focused team culture.
• Carry out general and public safety patrols, and permit/registration checks throughout the municipality to identify possible breaches of legislation and to educate the community. Patrol duties may occur on evenings and weekend shifts (allowances will apply in keeping with the Casey Enterprise Agreement).
• Review and assess and determine permit applications issued under the Local Law and Domestic Animals Act 1994

To be considered for this role you will need:

• National Criminal History Check » Working with Children Check
• Functional Assessment (Physio/Medical Examination)
• Experience in regulatory, enforcement or similar role.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
