If sitting at a desk isn’t your thing and you’d rather be out in the bush making a real difference, this one’s for you. As a Natural Areas Team Member, you’ll be hands-on maintaining Council’s natural reserves — restoring bushland, managing fire risks and helping protect native plants and wildlife. Every day’s different, the work matters, and you’ll finish early enough to actually enjoy your afternoons 🌞
🌳 Restoring and maintaining bushland and natural areas
🚒 Jumping in on fire management, prescribed burns and emergency response
🧯 Providing Level 1 firefighting support (when qualified)
🦺 Working safely and looking out for your crew
🗺️ Updating GIS, herbicide and maintenance records
🤝 Working alongside a tight, supportive team who’s got your back
🌿 Experience in bushland or natural area maintenance
🐦 A good eye for native plants, wildlife and weeds
🔥 Fire management or planned burning experience
🗣️ Solid communication skills and a team-first attitude
💻 Basic computer skills (GIS experience a plus)
📘 Cert III in Natural Resource Management (or equivalent experience)
🚗 Manual C Class licence (MR a bonus)
🧪 ACDC licence
🚒 Level 1 Bushland Firefighting
🪚 Chainsaw Level 1
🩹 Senior First Aid
