💧Redland Water is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of our water and wastewater infrastructure
🚰This hands-on role plays a key part in delivering safe, efficient services to the community.
$48.52 p/h plus 12% super! 6am-315pm Mon - Fri. Enjoy a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday as an RDO
🔍 The Role As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll carry out mechanical maintenance and minor works across Redland Water facilities, including treatment plants, pump stations, pressure-reducing sites, water storage assets, and heavy industrial equipment
⚙️🏭 Your day-to-day will include:
- Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance carried out safely and efficiently
- 🔧 Repairs, fault diagnosis, and condition monitoring of mechanical plant and equipment
- 🛠️ Monitoring SCADA and telemetry systems to ensure effective network operation, including trend analysis and fault rectification
- 🖥️ Reporting on equipment condition and maintenance outcomes
- 📝 Keeping tools and equipment in a safe, serviceable condition
- 🧰 Maintaining high standards of personal presentation and hygiene to reflect the professional image of Redland Water 👷♂️✨
✅ Selection Criteria
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience operating and maintaining water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants
- 💦Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and follow planned maintenance programs
- 📐 Strong problem-solving and time management skills, even when juggling multiple priorities
- ⏱️ Experience with Maintenance Management Systems, Microsoft applications, and SCADA-based remote operation systems
- 💻 Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, contractors, and customers
- 🤝 A proactive approach to workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance, with sound knowledge of WHS legislation
🚨 Mandatory Requirements🚨 You must have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent)
- 🎓 Current MR Class Driver’s Licence
- 🚛 Availability for the after-hours on-call roster (Level 1 response)
- 📞 Availability for weekend, public holiday, and overtime work as required
- 🕒 White Card (Construction)
- 🏗️ Confined Space Entry certification, or willingness to obtain and maintain
⭐ Desirable:
- Post-trade mechanical and/or electrical qualifications
- ⚡ Previous experience in water and wastewater systems
- 🚿 Restricted Electrical Licence
