Coastal Infrastucture Engineer

Our local council client is seeking a skilled and solutions-focused Infrastructure Engineer deliver technical expertise, engineering assessments, and design support to assist in the management of coastal assets, canals, and foreshore environments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable coastal management initiatives that protect and enhance vital community infrastructure.

• $50.09 p.h + Super
• Full-time hours (Mon-Fri)
• 3.5 Month Assignment (with possibility of extension)
• Strathpine QLD

In this role you will:

• Provide specialist engineering advice across a range of coastal and shoreline management matters
• Conduct on-site investigations, inspections, and technical data collection to inform project design and customer responses
• Contribute technical input into the preparation and staging of capital and operational works programs for infrastructure projects
• Develop engineering assessments, technical documentation, and evidence-based recommendations
• Prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and presentations outlining investigation findings and proposed solutions
• Support the delivery of coastal management initiatives aligned with strategic planning objectives
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and community stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven capability in the design and assessment of infrastructure assets
• Experience undertaking fieldwork, inspections, and technical investigations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound professional judgement
• Experience preparing technical reports and presenting findings
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in coastal engineering, shoreline management, or related civil infrastructure projects
• A degree in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is strongly desirable but not required
