Our QLD Government client is seeking a Business Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support to assist in the delivery of Government services. You’ll play a key role supporting day-to-day operations while contributing to the efficient delivery of essential services.
- $51.12 p.h + Super
- Full time hours (Mon–Fri)
- 3 month assignment with possibility of extension
- Rockhampton QLD 4700
This role involves:
- Undertaking a range of business research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities
- Providing reception support including managing incoming calls, mail, and packages
- Assisting with fleet administration tasks and maintaining related records
- Supporting the physical fleet management process, including organising & dropping off vehicles for servicing/repairs
- Recording and maintaining paper files
- Assisting with spare computer updates and equipment administration
- Undertaking general administration, reporting, and research activities aligned with operational objectives
- Ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective multitasking, time management and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Experience in customer service or stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and adaptability when managing changing priorities
- Experience in accounts payable (experience coding invoices using a chart of accounts and job numbers is strongly regarded)
- Understanding of Asset management principles and Project lifecycles
