Senior Supervisor

Our Queensland Government client is seeking a Senior Supervisor to oversee infrastructure, construction & maintenance projects. You'll be maintaining project standards and managing regional resources to support the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality projects.

• $68.90 p.h + Super
• Full-time hours (Mon-Fri)
• 3-month assignment with possibility of extension
• Parramatta Park, Cairns QLD 4870

This role involves:

• Supervising and managing the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade works
• Monitoring and reviewing project standards using effective work order management techniques
• Reporting to stakeholders on project status, quality, and expenditure
• Assisting in planning and supervising service maintenance
• Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, ensuring adherence to HR practices, employment equity, and workplace health and safety
• Promoting Government services to clients and identifying opportunities for new business
• Proactively managing staff performance and conduct

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience managing contracts and supervising construction, maintenance, or upgrade projects
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including managing staff performance and contractors
• Ability to monitor, report, and ensure compliance with project standards, budgets, and timelines
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and using technology to manage projects
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, equity, and best practice standards
• Construction industry trade qualification is highly desirable
