We’re on the lookout for a friendly, hands-on Arboricultural Team Member to help keep our parks, streets and green spaces thriving. If you enjoy working outdoors, getting your hands dirty, and making your community greener and safer, this could be the job for you!

📍 Location: Logan

🕒 Hours:Monday – Friday | 6:30am – 3:30pm

💰 Pay: $42.96 per hour + super

👢 You bring: Safety boots, hi-vis jacket, and wet weather gear

🌱 What You’ll Be Doing

No two days are the same! You’ll be part of a team that keeps our urban forest healthy and beautiful by:

🌳 Planting and replanting trees in road reserves and parks

🌿 Mulching gardens and tree surrounds

✂️ Ground-based pruning and tree removal using hand tools, chainsaws, and mechanical hedgers

🛠 Using arboriculture machinery and industry tools

🔍 Inspecting parks and reporting issues like graffiti, vandalism, damaged trees or broken facilities

🧹 Keeping parks tidy — removing rubbish, raking, sweeping and blowing hard surfaces

🛝 Checking playground surrounds for sharps or debris to keep the public safe

🌼 Seasonal tasks like fertilising, pruning, planting and mulching

🧪 Preparing and safely applying herbicides, pesticides and fungicides

🐛 Supporting integrated pest management programs

💻 Using Microsoft Office to check emails, complete forms and online training

🚛 Operating and maintaining tools, machinery, and fleet vehicles (including trucks up to 15t GVM)

🌟 What You’ll Need

✔ Certificate III in Horticulture or Certificate II in Arboriculture

✔ Demonstrated tree work experience

✔ White Card

✔ MR Driver Licence

⭐ Bonus Skills (Highly Valued)

➕ Agricultural Chemical Distribution Certificate (AC/DC)

➕ Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) licence

➕ Experience with traffic management
