Our client, a local QLD Council, is seeking a Maintenance Planning Engineer to support the delivery of proactive road and drainage asset maintenance programs. You’ll play a key role supporting the planning, development, and delivery of capital and maintenance works programs.
• $58.06 – $61.83 p.h + Super
• 10 month assignment with possibility of extension
• Full time hours (Mon–Fri, 6:30am–3:15pm)

This role involves:
- Providing technical support for road and drainage maintenance programs
- Leading a small team of inspectors, technical officers, and junior engineers
- Developing and managing forward works programs, including defects backlog and inspection programs
- Project and contract management of capital and maintenance works
- Conducting customer request investigations and technical assessments
- Supporting budget development, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in road construction and maintenance
- Proven leadership experience managing performance
- Demonstrated project and contract management experience
- Strong planning, organisational, and financial management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and project/asset management systems
- White Card and C Class Driver’s Licence
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline highly regarded
- RPEQ registration (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
