Maintenance Planning Engineer

Our client, a local QLD Council, is seeking a Maintenance Planning Engineer to support the delivery of proactive road and drainage asset maintenance programs. You’ll play a key role supporting the planning, development, and delivery of capital and maintenance works programs.

• $58.06 – $61.83 p.h + Super
• 10 month assignment with possibility of extension
• Full time hours (Mon–Fri, 6:30am–3:15pm)
• Logan QLD 4132

This role involves:

• Providing technical support for road and drainage maintenance programs
• Leading a small team of inspectors, technical officers, and junior engineers
• Developing and managing forward works programs, including defects backlog and inspection programs
• Project and contract management of capital and maintenance works
• Conducting customer request investigations and technical assessments
• Supporting budget development, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience in road construction and maintenance
• Proven leadership experience managing performance
• Demonstrated project and contract management experience
• Strong planning, organisational, and financial management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and project/asset management systems
• White Card and C Class Driver’s Licence
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline highly regarded
• RPEQ registration (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
