Senior Accountant

Hourly Rate: $70 – $80 per hour (6-month contract)

Location: Mulgrave, VIC

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Our client is a highly respected automotive organisation with a strong presence across Australia, offering a diverse range of passenger, SUV and commercial vehicles. Their Mulgrave head office is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide critical support to the finance and accounting teams.

This role combines financial reporting, planning and major system implementation, providing strong development and visibility. Having previous experience with any system transitions and in house accounting is highly beneficial.

About the Role

• Financial reporting & planning: Oversee monthly and annual reporting processes, including analysis, trackers, and key deliverables across budgets, forecasts, outlooks, and mid-term planning.
• Stakeholder engagement: Analyse financial trends and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders both locally and globally.
• BAU finance support: Provide support across finance, treasury, and tax functions to ensure continuity during system implementation and project activity.
• Finance transformation & systems: Support system implementation initiatives, validate finance and treasury process documentation, and ensure full coverage of accounting and treasury activities.
• Process improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance finance processes.
