The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Business Partner to join the team on a part time basis (4 days per week) on going casual role with no current end date!

Ideally Chris21 experience



Duties and responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Successfully manage the end-to-end delivery of the payroll process on a fortnightly basis; ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Play a key role in fortnightly payroll processing, including data entry and reporting, verification of data, maintaining Chris21(migrating to iChris), end of month process, pay-run generation including relevant reports, and liaising with finance and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update the payroll system, including placing all new employees on the system, making changes to current employees, liaising with stakeholders.
  • Advise management and staff with the interpretation of Awards, the GMCT EBA, relevant legislation, HR procedures, payroll queries and superannuation matters.
  • Process terminations, salary adjustments and other employee changes in the system.
  • Understand the requirements of each department, especially in the areas of employee entitlements, labour reporting, analysis and budgeting.
  • Calculate higher duties and provide advice and assistance to staff.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements and investigate all audit findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure organisation is compliant with ATO Single Touch Payroll requirement

The hours 9:00am – 5:00pm (4 days per week)
