Lead a high-profile industrial project with a respected national contractor
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major industrial project based in Altona, Melbourne. This is a residential Monday to Friday role offering the opportunity to manage a large-scale project while working with a highly regarded organisation delivering complex projects across Australia.
This position offers the potential for ongoing career opportunities beyond the completion of the 12 month project, including future major project and FIFO opportunities.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the safe, commercial and operational delivery of a major industrial project from commencement through to completion.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 50–70 personnel, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.
Lead the successful delivery of a major industrial project from start to finish.
Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
Drive project schedules, critical path activities and milestone achievement.
Oversee contract administration, variations, claims and commercial performance.
Lead, mentor and develop project teams, supervisors, engineers and subcontractors.
Act as the primary point of contact for the client and key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality management systems.
Identify and manage project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you will have:
10+ years' experience managing major industrial or construction projects valued between $20M–$100M+.
Proven experience within oil & gas, mining, energy or heavy industrial environments.
Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
Strong commercial acumen, including contract management, variations and claims.
Advanced financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
Demonstrated success delivering projects to strict timelines and budgets.
Outstanding client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
A strong commitment to safety leadership within high-risk operating environments.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline (preferred).
PMP or equivalent project management certification (desirable).

Monday to Friday residential role.
