Our client, a major Queensland Government Department, is seeking multiple Service Officers to join an exciting Call Centre based in the heart of Ipswich.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, receive comprehensive training, and build valuable experience within the Queensland Government.

What will you be doing?

As a Service Officer, you’ll be helping Queenslanders meet their obligations by providing professional, respectful and solution-focused support.

Your day will include:

• Having meaningful conversations with customers and helping them understand their options
• Providing accurate information, guidance and education
• Setting up payment arrangements and validating customer information
• Reviewing legislation, policies and customer circumstances to make informed decisions
• Negotiating positive outcomes and following processes to recover outstanding debts

While experience in collections is welcomed, it’s not essential. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn and your ability to have confident conversations with people from all walks of life.

We’re looking for people who:

• Have previous experience in a customer service, contact centre, administration or high-volume environment
• Communicate clearly and professionally (both verbally and in writing)
• Are comfortable working with systems, data and technology
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow legislation and procedures
• Are resilient, patient and confident handling challenging conversations
• Want to be part of a team and are looking for a genuine long-term opportunity
