Project Support Officer - People & Culture Team

$40-$50 per hour + Super | 6 month contract | Ormiston

  • Flexible start times
  • Onsite parking
  • Immediate start
  • Bring already developed P&C projects to life within a large, established transport and tourism organisation
  • Work closely with an experienced HR Manager

If you’re the kind of person who loves taking a great idea, building the tracker, pulling the right people together and actually making it happen...I'm confident you've just found your next opportunity.

Join a large Australian transport and tourism organisation who is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and development. Following significant work across their HR processes, induction programs, training and employee initiatives, they are now looking for a capable all rounder to help turn those plans into real, working programs.

This is not an HR advisory or strategy role. The project plans, frameworks and communication plans have already been developed, and several initiatives are underway. What the team needs now is someone organised, proactive and practical who can take ownership of the implementation and keep everything moving.

More about the opportunity?

Working directly with the People & Culture Manager, you’ll support a varied mix of projects across induction, training, engagement, communications, systems and reporting.

You’ll have the autonomy to work through established plans, coordinate the next steps and see the tangible impact of your work across the organisation. It’s such a satisfying role for someone who really enjoys getting things done and wants to build project coordination experience!

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and helping establish an improved induction booking process
  • Coordinating induction programs, bookings and associated administration
  • Building and maintaining Microsoft Forms, SharePoint pages and simple tracking tools
  • Drafting and scheduling clear internal communications
  • Supporting training and employee engagement activities
  • Coordinating stakeholders, actions, timelines and follow-ups
  • Preparing straightforward reporting and project updates
  • Keeping several P&C initiatives moving through implementation and launch
  • Providing broader administrative support when team priorities shift

Now let's talk about you!

You don’t need to be an HR specialist. We’re looking for a capable administrator or coordinator who can take a plan, work out the practical next steps and confidently run with it.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Strong administration, project support or coordination experience
  • The ability to work autonomously while keeping your manager informed
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and follow-through
  • Practical Microsoft 365 skills, particularly across Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams
  • Confidence using or learning Microsoft Forms and SharePoint
  • Clear written communication and strong attention to detail
  • The confidence to follow people up and keep actions moving
  • A hands-on attitude and willingness to complete both project and administrative work

Experience in P&C, onboarding, learning and development, training coordination or employee engagement would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. We’re equally open to project administrators, operations coordinators, team assistants or experienced administrators who are ready to step into broader project coordination.

Let's talk about why you'll love it:

  • Work with a large, established organisation with projects that have genuine scale and impact
  • Gain practical exposure to People & Culture project implementation
  • Build valuable experience across induction, training, engagement, systems and communications
  • Work directly with an experienced and supportive P&C Manager
  • Enjoy plenty of variety and the satisfaction of seeing your work come to life
  • Join a friendly head-office team with casual attire and free onsite parking
  • Flexible full-time hours, (ideally 8:00am-4:00pm)
  • 6 month contract with the possibility of extension

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is ready to move beyond pure administration and develop project coordination experience without being thrown into the deep end of a highly technical project role.

If you’re proactive, organised and excited by the idea of bringing important people initiatives to life, we’d love to hear from you.
