We are seeking two experienced Mechanical Fitters to assist in the mechanical deconstruction, documentation, and reinstallation of our heavy diecast production facility. This role focuses on a major site relocation project, moving high-pressure diecast machinery, furnaces, and automated systems to a new facility.
What You Will Do
- Dismantle Machinery: Safely strip down and deconstruct large-scale diecast machines, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
- Notate & Document: Meticulously label, log, and map every component, schematic, and fluid line to ensure flawless reassembly.
- Install & Align: Position, level, and anchor heavy machinery at the new site according to engineering blueprints.
- Recommission Plant: Reconnect complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, testing for operational readiness.
- Troubleshoot Setup: Resolve structural misalignments or mechanical faults during the initial startup phase.
What We Are Looking For
- Relocation Experience: Proven track record in plant decommissioning, machine dismantling, and factory relocation.
- Diecast Sector Expertise: Strong background working with high-pressure diecast machinery and precision tooling.
- Trade Qualified: Certified Mechanical Fitter or equivalent mechanical engineering trade qualification.
- Rigging & Lifting Skills: Experience working alongside crane crews to safely move heavy, oversized industrial assets.
- Precision Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and update technical schematics during the move process.
