We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Officer to join a busy Local Government team, working across campaigns, digital, events and broader promotional activity.

This is a great opportunity for a marketer who enjoys taking a project from an idea on a page through to something people actually see, engage with and respond to.

You’ll have your own projects to run, plenty of variety and the chance to work with different teams across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

No two projects will look exactly the same. You’ll be trusted to manage your workload, keep campaigns moving and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • Developing and delivering marketing and communication campaigns

  • Building marketing plans and coordinating campaign schedules

  • Managing multiple projects from concept through to delivery

  • Providing practical marketing advice to internal teams

  • Working with external agencies and suppliers where required

  • Identifying opportunities across digital, events and promotional activity

  • Keeping stakeholders updated and making sure deadlines don’t slip

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who already knows how to run a campaign and is ready to get stuck in.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Hands-on marketing experience with campaigns you can talk us through

  • Experience developing and implementing marketing plans

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle competing deadlines

  • Confident stakeholder management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • A good understanding of digital marketing and current marketing practices

  • Experience working with agencies or external suppliers will be highly regarded

  • A qualification in Marketing, Communications or similar is advantageous, but not essential
