We're looking for an organised and proactive Learning & Development Officer to join a busy Queensland Government team based in Brisbane CBD.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in learning and development, training coordination or administration who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities and helping deliver meaningful professional development programs.
You'll play an important role in coordinating training activities, supporting learning programs and ensuring employees have access to the resources and development opportunities they need.
$60.05 per hour + super

Full-time contract opportunity
26 October 2026 to 30 June 2027

Varied role supporting employee learning and development
No two days will look quite the same! You'll be responsible for:
Coordinating training sessions, including enrolments, room bookings, catering and training materials
Managing learner enquiries and assisting employees with training registrations
Maintaining and updating the Learning Management System (LMS)
Tracking training attendance, completion records and evaluation results
Preparing training reports, presentations, guides and other learning resources
Researching training providers and coordinating with external suppliers
Processing post-training administration, including invoices and training records
Supporting the development and improvement of learning and development processes
Preparing meeting agendas, minutes and correspondence
Working closely with internal teams and regional staff to ensure training programs run smoothly
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
Previous experience in learning and development, training coordination or a similar administrative role
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Confidence coordinating multiple activities and managing changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
Experience using Learning Management Systems or training databases
The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team
A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to jump in where needed
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and previous government experience would be highly regarded.
You don't necessarily need to come from a dedicated Learning & Development role. If you've worked in training administration, HR support, education coordination or a similar environment and have strong organisational skills, we'd love to hear from you!
