Are you an experienced Laboratory Technician with a background in sand and/or soil testing? We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented technician to join a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business based in Carbrook

This is a casual opportunity offering an immediate start, consistent hours and the potential to increase from three to five days per week as workload grows.

The Opportunity

• $41.25 per hour + super
• Day Shift: 6:30am – 3:00pm
• Flexible casual work: 3 days per week
• Increase to 5 days per week as workload increases
• Immediate Start

About the Role

Working within a laboratory environment, you will assist with the testing and assessment of sand and soil materials, ensuring accurate results and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting laboratory testing of sand and soil samples
• Collecting, preparing and handling samples for testing
• Recording and maintaining accurate test results and laboratory records
• Following testing procedures and quality requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment
• Working collaboratively with the team to meet daily testing requirements

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• Previous laboratory experience involving sand and/or soil – highly desirable
• Experience with material sampling, preparation and testing
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
• A commitment to workplace health and safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Reliability and flexibility as working days increase with workload

Candidates with experience in construction materials testing, soil testing, quarry laboratories or aggregate testing are encouraged to apply.
