• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Qualified Gardener to join our team within the City Council. In this role, you’ll be working across a variety of locations, including parks, streets, and other council-operated facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic and functional quality of public green spaces, contributing to a positive environment for the local community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Performing horticultural tasks such as watering, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, and litter collection.
• Operating trailers, hand tools, and small plant equipment.
• Assisting with the design and renovation of garden beds and landscapes.
• Communicating positively with the public and presenting a professional image for the Council.
• Ensuring compliance with Codes of Practice, Safe Operating Procedures, and other relevant safety guidelines.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

• MR Licence
• Certificate III in Horticulture or Certificate III in Parks and Gardens
• A minimum of 2 years of gardening experience
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both the public and your team
• Passion for maintaining and improving public spaces
