A Day in the Life

In this hands-on role, you’ll service and maintain a wide range of Council vehicles and mobile equipment — from trucks and heavy plant to light fleet assets. Here’s what your day might include:

• Performing maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and more
  
• Diagnosing faults and completing preventative maintenance
  
• Light fabrication, welding, and spray painting as required
  
• Operating workshop equipment including lathes, drills, and welders
  
• Recording maintenance activities using Council systems
  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• Trade-qualified Motor Mechanic (essential)
  
• Heavy or light vehicle experience (both considered)
  
• HR Licence (preferred)
  
• Confident working independently and collaboratively in a team
